  • RIUH EVENT | RIUH Raya 2018

In conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadhan, RIUH transforms itself into a Ramadhan Bazaar like no other, a soulful souk for all ages to come together for a special time with friends and family - all happening at APW Bangsar on 2nd and 3rd June from 4 pm till midnight.

RIUH is a curated creative platform that hosts a spectrum of eclectic, homegrown artisanal brands to discover, local and international flavours to feast on, creative workshops, showcases and live acts, all under one roof.

Akin to community-based artisanal markets such as Covent Garden in London, Finders Keepers in Australia, Knack Market in Bangkok, Brightspot Market and Indoestri in Indonesia and Public Garden in Singapore, RIUH aims to put Kuala Lumpur on the creative map - timely, to further enhance the creative industry in Malaysia.

In June, not only you can you get your buka puasa food and have moreh (supper after Terawikh prayers) at riuh, get everything you need for Raya from baju-baju (clothes) to kuih-muih (cookies and cakes) to barang-barang rumah (household items).

Shop for the latest Raya trends from local fashion designers who will ensure you and family are dressed to impress! The best selection of favourite kuih-muih and desserts will be available if you have a sweet tooth like us so be ready to dip your hands in the many cookie jars available.

Riuh will be joining forces with Good Vibes Festival who will be giving you a teaser on what to expect from this year’s edition of Good Vibes Festival on 21st & 22nd of July in Genting Highlands. Chill out to cool tunes from DJs Dangerdisko and Rizki while acoustic sounds of the evening provided by Bil Musa, Froya and Jumero as you shop, hangout and break your fast at this Pre-Good Vibes do.

Not forgetting our brothers and sisters in Borneo, we will be having some cultural performances - in celebration of the Rice Harvest Festivals, known as ‘Hari Kaamatan’ in Sabah and ‘Hari Gawai’ in Sarawak with special performances of the traditional Tarian Ngajat Iban and Tarian Sumazau!

Also, there will b be activities to quench your creative cravings such as communal ketupat making, make your own raya cards and community painting.

“RIUH aims to bridge the creative community and the community at large to create a healthy ecosystem for the creative industry that enables the community to discover creative entrepreneurs and talents that Malaysia has to offer” explains Melissa Low and Affendy Dally of RIUH.
